Under the stewardship of our Head Chef Dave Gaughan the focus is on the creation of home produced dishes using quality local ingredients from our own local food hero suppliers.
Choose from the popular White Hart Pub Classics or the ever changing menu which reflects the best local seasonal produce available.
White Hart Classics include dishes such as Steak and Tawny (Tawny ale brewed by Cotleigh in Wiveliscombe) pie, Beech Hayes Farm Olde English sausages, apple mash and rich onion gravy as well as The Famous White Hart burger served with proper homemade chips.
Recent favourites from our Menu include River Exe mussels cooked in white wine and cream as well as free range West Country duck breast served on a confit garlic mash with an orange and rosemary sauce.
For Sunday lunch we offer traditional roast beef using finest topside of Beech Hayes Farm 21 day hung beef, topped with a fresh thyme yorkie and accompanied by goose fat roasted potatoes, local organic seasonal vegetables and our own recipe gravy.
In addition we offer a seasonal roast plus a selection of alternative dishes along with a choice of starters such as classic prawn cocktail and deserts like the ever popular sticky toffee pudding.
On offer at Lunchtime are a selection of sandwiches and baguettes as well as a choice of omelettes.
Please note that we do not serve food Monday lunchtimes and offer a limited menu on Sunday evenings. |
